Our Commitment
In September 2015, the United Nations created a series of 17 Sustainable Development Goals to be used as a guideline for the global promotion of prosperity and protection of the planet. Recognizing that the eradication of certain global issues will require the combined effort of government, public and private sectors, they issued a worldwide call for action to achieve the social and economic transformation we desperately need to ensure that no one is left behind.
Since formulating these goals however, it has been recognized that the global response has not been as ambitious as required. While some areas have seen improvement, there is still an increasing economic inequality among many countries, extreme poverty in rural areas, gender inequality, violent conflicts and vulnerabilities to natural disasters. Globally, we need to take further action to meet the ambitious 15-year proposed agenda.
To transform the world, we at GLOBAGRO recognize that there are still many valuable opportunities to accelerate this progress and we are committed to becoming part of the solution.
Below are some basic examples of how we intend to make a difference, locally in the DRC and sub-Saharan Africa countries, and globally, through strategic partnerships and North American connections.
